    Medical care
    Medical practices are available in nearly all of the municipalities in Carinthia; there are hospitals in all larger towns and cities. Holidaymakers can be treated by means of health insurance documents for abroad which are provided by their health insurance schemes at home.

    pets
    Bringing along pets is possible (after consulting the respective camping operator). Rabies vaccination certificate (not older than one year, and dated at least 30 days before arrival) as well as leash for dogs are prescribed.

    Recommended speeds
    Passenger vehicle with trailer: 80 km/h (with trailers over 750 kg) or 100 km/h on rural roads; 100 km/h on the motorway.

    Camper vans up to 3.5 t: 100 km/h on rural roads; 130 km/h on motorways (110 km/h from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on all motorways except the A1 and the A2).

    Mobile homes up to 7.5 t: 70 km/h on rural roads; 80 km/h on motorways.

    A speed limit of 50 km/h applies to all vehicles on through roads in municipal areas insofar as nothing else is indicated. There are frequent 30 km/h restrictions in urban residential areas. Attention: On these roads there is a priority for vehicles approaching from the right - as well as a compulsory stop on road accesses and intersections marked with white indented lines (disregard can lead to serious accidents!).

    traffic accidents
    In the event of traffic accidents with personal injury there is an immediate obligation to report to the local police or provincial police service; in the event of material or property damages this obligation only applies if the reciprocal identity (of participants) has not been proven. Motor vehicles and motorcycles must have third party insurance.

    unauthorised camping
    If this has not been expressly prohibited by means of local or regional bans, a one-time overnight outside of the campground on roads, parking areas or rest areas is allowed; however this is generally forbidden in the open countryside!
