Rennweg in view to the Pöllatal
The town of Rennweg, located in the north-west of Carinthia, is noted for its unusually interesting topography. Deep valleys alternate with mountain peaks in excess of 3,000 m. The fact that the town has the most overnight stays in the entire province of Carinthia is due in no small part to the magnet that is the Katschberg.
As a hiking and mountain biking paradise, the area is in high season all year round. Particularly worth seeing are the source of the Lieser, the Torbach falls, numerous mountain lakes and show cabins and other indicators of the gold mining that used to take place in this area.
